Anna Pangalou is a vocal and sound installation artist exploring the boundaries between classical tradition and experimental sound. Her practice has evolved toward experimental music and site-specific installation, integrating voice, breath, and environmental sound into works that challenge conventional performance. Recent work expands into soundscapes, acoustic ecology, and spatial perception.

Spindrift — the salt-charged mist torn from breaking waves — carries the sea invisibly inland, depositing ions onto skin, stone and breath. At the same time, salt distresses matter and transforms it: an iron ship slowly surrenders to rust. A Klepsydra, the ancient Greek water vessel that measure time, drips seawater onto a fragment of iron salvaged from the shipwreck at Kalofana. Dripping of water. Passing of time.

Beneath it, paper receives what remains: rust and brine accumulating into marks that become a score.
Ceramic vessels, made by Marina Coriolano-Lykourezos and Andreas Theodorou, hold the water as it moves from one to the next — measuring time the way memory does, not in hours, but in residue.
Each day, joss paper — the Chinese paper of ancestral offering — is held into the coastal wind to receive the spindrift before joining the accumulation below.
