Iannis Psallidakos studied architecture at the National Technical University of Athens. He worked as an architect, drawing teacher, graphic designer and photographer… until he chose to turn to the sculpture of sound, and more precisely of the human voice. A living sound, bodily, spiritual, powerful and fragile. His path, research, pedagogy and performance all at once, from The Grove of Synergy to the Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus, poses questions that seem unanswerable: how the voice fades and how it is born. How breath carries sound, and how it abandons it. How one listens, to silences, to cries, to thoughts.
